Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer same day appointments?

Absolutely! When booking online, you may notice I keep a one hour buffer from the time of booking to the next availability. This is mostly to allow for travel time in case I am not already at the clinic. To check for availability with less than an hours’ notice, please give me a call.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Once you’ve filled out a health history, either online or on paper, we’ll take some time to go through it together and address any questions you may have. We’ll determine the area of focus, what a treatment looks like for you, and a plan of action. After that, I’ll leave you to settle on the table in private and I’ll return to start the treatment. It’s important you are comfortable during the treatment so we’ll work to find the right treatment pressure to address your concerns.

Do you offer Deep Tissue treatments?

Overall, yes. I am able to offer a variety of pressures, from very light to quite deep which correspond with a wide varieties of muscular dysfunctions. Each body requires a unique pressure; I begin with a lighter pressure so I can assess your tissue and safely add more pressure as needed.
If you find my pressure is too much or too little, PLEASE let me know and I will adjust accordingly.

What kind of products do you use during a treatment?

I currently use Myo-Ther Essential Massage hypoallergenic Gel but I do have other oils and some lotions available. Please let me know of any allergies that may influence the choice of solution used. You are welcome to bring in a product you would like used as I have no topical allergies.

Will my insurance company cover my massage?

Massage therapy is not covered by OHIP, but many private insurance companies cover treatment from a Massage Therapist as part of their extended healthcare plans. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I will issue a receipt with all the necessary information. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm how much you coverage you have and if they need a note from your doctor.
* I do not offer direct billing to insurance companies. *

Cancellation/Late Policy

When you book a massage therapy that time is specifically reserved for you. Please allow for 24 hours’ notice for cancelling any appointments to ensure the mutual respect of both your time and mine. Without 24 hours' notice, you may be billed the full appointment price.

*For clients arriving late to their appointments: please note I am often booked back to back, and will only be able to give you the remaining time in your treatment. In these cases, the full treatment fee will still apply.*
