At this moment in time, no. To practice within the guidelines we have to keep a 24 hour period between the Covid-19 Questionnaire and the designated appointment to observe any changes that may occur. As a result I have disabled the same day booking option.
Once you’ve filled out a health history and questionnaire online we can determine if you are healthy enough to go ahead with any assessment and treatment. We will then take some time to go through the forms together and address any questions you may have. We’ll determine the area of focus, what a treatment looks like for you, and a plan of action. After that, I’ll leave you to settle on the table in private and I’ll return to start the treatment. It’s important you are comfortable during the treatment so we’ll work to find the right treatment pressure to address your concerns.
Overall, yes. I am able to offer a variety of pressures, from very light to quite deep which correspond with a wide varieties of muscular dysfunctions. Each body requires a unique pressure; I begin with a lighter pressure so I can assess your tissue and safely add more pressure as needed.
If you find my pressure is too much or too little, PLEASE let me know and I will adjust accordingly.
I currently use Myo-Ther Essential Massage hypoallergenic Gel but I do have other oils and some lotions available. Please let me know of any allergies that may influence the choice of solution used. You are welcome to bring in a product you would like used as I have no topical allergies.
Massage therapy is not covered by OHIP, but many private insurance companies cover treatment from a Massage Therapist as part of their extended healthcare plans. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I will issue a receipt with all the necessary information. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm how much you coverage you have and if they need a note from your doctor.
