As of January 14th 2021, Ontario has declared a provincial wide stay-at-home order. This time around health services including Regulated Health Care Professionals (ie. Registered Massage Therapists) are included on the essential business list released by the government. As such, I will remain open until or unless they choose to impose further restrictions.
As always, your health and safety is a top priority and my diligent safety protocols will remain in place.
Routines can help us feel more stable mentally, emotionally, and physically. Consider pre booking your appointments according to your work/life schedule, benefit plan, stress level, or general preference.
Only booking early can ensure the time that suits you best is specifically reserved.
Filling newly vacant appointment spots is a trickier than before. If you are having trouble finding availability for a specific time/day it is important you let me know ahead of time.
Why? Each appointment requires a pre-screen so we can compare if there have been any symptom developments the day of the treatment. A precautionary pre-screen will allow me to offer any available time that comes up last minute during that week.
Therapeutic and Deep Tissue treatments are often synonymous. I use many levels of pressure within an appointment to assess and treat the intended area according to the tissues level of sensitivity, reception to the pressure, and client request.
Remember, pain is not always gain.
Think of a massage as a language; you may know the alphabet, but each person will write an essay differently.
In my practice my touch relies on my use of knuckles, palms, forearms, and elbow as much as can. I have careful use of my thumbs for more intricate or small space work.
A pregnancy massage is safe and not too dissimilar from any other treatment. Treatment goals are often to relax tense muscles, improve mobility, and soothing sore spots. Positioning will be a little different but we’ll make sure you’re as comfortable as possible before we begin.
