A Commitment to Healing

My Clinic's update to Covid-19

I hope you are all safe, healthy, and don’t have too much cabin fever. Personally, I’ve been embracing my artistic side and finding time to sit in the sun.

It has been over six weeks since the therapists at 309 Speedvale officially had to close our doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Guelph has entered a state of emergency following developments at Guelph General Hospital and care homes.

What does that mean?

In response to the pandemic I’ve decided to extend my notice of closure for the foreseeable future. My governing college body has laid down a clear order for all RMTs to stand down from any and all treatments. Until we are able to get a clear timeline projection, I won’t be able to open my calendar booking system.

What Happens Next?

I’m hopeful that once the emergency orders are lifted I will be able to begin the steps of returning to work. Once I can reopen I will reach out to those previously booked first.

Any return to work will change the visual of my practice with the addition of appropriate PPE, increased time between clients for disinfecting, and rules for admittance to the clinic.

For now, my prayers are with the world as we all try to navigate these changes, heads held high and front doors closed.

Registered Massage Therapy

Treatment tailored to suit your needs

Therapeutic and Deep Tissue treatments are often synonymous. I use many levels of pressure within an appointment to assess and treat the intended area according to the tissues level of sensitivity, reception to the pressure, and client request.

Remember, pain is not always gain.

My Treatment Style

Think of a massage as a language; you may know the alphabet, but each person will write an essay differently.

In my practice my touch relies on my use of knuckles, palms, forearms, and elbow as much as can. I have careful use of my thumbs for more intricate or small space work.

Pregnancy Massage

A pregnancy massage is safe and not too dissimilar from any other treatment. Treatment goals are often to relax tense muscles, improve mobility, and soothing sore spots. Positioning will be a little different but we’ll make sure you’re as comfortable as possible before we begin.
