I hope you are all safe and healthy. As you may have heard RMTs are now allowed to gradually open our massage practices, which is GREAT NEWS! I have been working my way through the requirements to return and hope to see to you all soon. I will start connecting with more of you to get some appointments scheduled and find a new treatment rhythm.
I will slowly and gradually increase my work load over a handful of weeks but it will take some time to adjust to the new protocols. Returning to appointments will look different but my goal is to maintain the high standards of care I had before.
I will also keep an eye on Guelph's health numbers to make sure we're still moving along safely.
Keep an eye out for an email to existing clients detailing some of the new changes but I will post them here as well.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the changes – that’s okay, please share your concerns and we can work through them together.
Not comfortable returning yet? I totally get it! Take the time you need to be comfortable and I'll be here when you're ready.
Therapeutic and Deep Tissue treatments are often synonymous. I use many levels of pressure within an appointment to assess and treat the intended area according to the tissues level of sensitivity, reception to the pressure, and client request.
Remember, pain is not always gain.
Think of a massage as a language; you may know the alphabet, but each person will write an essay differently.
In my practice my touch relies on my use of knuckles, palms, forearms, and elbow as much as can. I have careful use of my thumbs for more intricate or small space work.
A pregnancy massage is safe and not too dissimilar from any other treatment. Treatment goals are often to relax tense muscles, improve mobility, and soothing sore spots. Positioning will be a little different but we’ll make sure you’re as comfortable as possible before we begin.
